INSIGHTS: Esther Ferrer in conversation with Laurence Rassel

The Walter & Nicole Leblanc Foundation is pleased to present a new chapter of INSIGHTS. To celebrate the last day of Shared Lines, the exhibition by Esther Ferrer and Walter Leblanc, Ferrer will go in conversation with Laurence Rassel, curator and thinker on feminist and institutional practices.

A key figure in conceptual and performance art, Esther Ferrer has developed a radical and feminist body of work since the 1960s, spanning actions, installations, drawings, and photography. Mathematics, particularly prime numbers, guide many of her works, enabling her to construct objective systems that minimise subjectivity and prioritise concept over execution.

Laurence Rassel has been director of erg in Brussels since 2016, and has been appointed as the new general director of the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam as of 1 March 2026. In 2017, she co-curated Ferrer’s monographic exhibition All Variations Are Valid, Including this One at Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid.
